I'm looking to connect with all kinds of people... People with boots. People with sandals. People with fuzzy bunny slippers. People with all kinds of shoes.

But why shoes?... well, I'm glad you asked.

Almost all of us have shoes (though some of us make a conscious choice not to wear them). We buy shoes for comfort. We buy shoes for looks. We buy shoes for that special occasion. ( A couple of times, I've found a pair of shoes in the wild, but have been hesitant to try them on. ) Our shoes say something about who we are.

Our shoes take us everywhere. Our shoes are part of us.

Share your shoes; share your stories. Read the blog; see the shoes. Walk that mile in someone else's experience.

I know you've heard the saying "You won't know a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes."  This project begins with that statement and will end who knows where. 

We spend so much of our time not paying attention to each other. When we take the time to share with each other and appreciate the subtleties, we become closer as a community, as a world.

The goal right now is to collect at least 5280 photos of shoes. (for those that don't get the pun 5280 feet = a mile;  for those that do get it, I apologize for explaining it.)
